Thanks for Visiting! Come back AGAIN!
Hey everyone!I have met some pretty great new friends thanks to that wonderful Greta suggesting you come visit me! So many warm and encouraging responses from you, which gave me a much needed boost of confidence to keep on blogging! To everyone that wrote, I have read every response and am so grateful for the feedback. Keep it coming! (And I will try to get to all of your questions, suggestions and advice! )
I am still in the process of trying to learn how to download (upload??) photos on my blog, so this might take some doing. I am just the opposite of tech-savvy. I am tech-challenged! Yesterday I snuck over to Adam and Laura’s blog…and left with major blog-envy. They both have mastered pictures and video. I promise to re-read my blogging manual today and figure this out.
A couple of you asked about when I got married! Yes, I got hitched June the 8th of this year. We were pretty sneaky about it…just picked a day and went to City Hall. The whole ceremony took less time than ordering a hamburger at a drive-thru!! I think it lasted all of about 90 seconds! I bought a dress at Macy’s for under a 100 bucks off the rack, and my girlfriend Holly made my bridal bouquet. Once I figure out how to upload those darn photos, I will post a couple. In the meantime, here’s a link, courtesy of Johnny Dollar’s Place, that my mother found when I announced it on Jane Skinner’s show…(scroll down the page –it’s the second video) (Thank you Johnny Dollar for being tech-savvy!)
P.S. Now, contrary to some crazy rumors, and maybe a few too many cheeseburgers, I am not pregnant!
You will be the first to know (along with my doctor and maybe my hubby!) if indeed that happens, but for now – I’m still just the Weather Machine – not the Baby Machine!) HA! In other Weather-Machine news, NOAA just released their annual winter predictions for the U.S. – I will post this info on a second blog today! Once again, thank you for making me feel so welcome and among friends! I can’t wait to learn more about you, and fill you in on the day to day events here at FOX!
Have a great day!

Janice – We like behind the scenes stuff caught on video, so get Greta’s old handy cam and get busy. Or better yet get a camera you can hide in a sweater and get the real behind the scenes scenes!
Being a suthin boy living along the Gulf of Mexico, I have a particular interest in hurricanes. What has happened the past two seasons? The hurricane gurus started scaring us and the insurance companies to death very early each year with talk of record setting storms in terms of quantity and strength. But, both years have turned out to be relatively mild thus far.
Home owners policies are being canceled left and right in this part of the world and I have no doubt these dire predictions are not helping the situation!
What’s up with all of that?????
Hey Michael!
Yes, the last two hurricane seasons have been relatively quiet for the U.S. — But Mexico got slammed with 2 cat 5’s in almost the same location! We set some intensity records this year and have had an average to above average season in terms of named storms. We will never have another year like Katrina, so I think every year will be compared to 2005 for the next decade or so. Remember – even a 5 day forecast comes with a great deal of uncertainty!
I am happy to be a part of your blog Janice !!
I love it when you dance…it cracks me up! the video Shep showed a week or so ago was the best….It was the video of you doing the weather on a sister station. HA! Of course I also love your weather reporting and the hurricane information. Im not ina hurricane zone (Im in Calif) but have learned alot watching and listening to you
Good Morning-you will be a hero to all of us “mature” tech-challenged bloggers who are jumping in feet first. . . It’s so fun to get to meet the “real people” on the Fox shows. Have a great day
Congratulations – I enjoy you on Fox. I’ve been listening to old Imus CDS during this Imusless spell and you were great on there – really the only female who really fit in well. So, is Imus coming to Fox?
Janice I had no idea that you got married until I saw that video!! Congratulations. Gorgeous! (I hope this doesn’t post twice)
Janice thank you for the videos… gave me an opportunity to download new version of Quick Time. I had seen your videos on Fox but was great to see it again… I remember one funny Valintine’s day you showed your finger and said where is my engagement ring… you are too sweet and funny.. Love yah.
Two of my favorite people are Bill and Megyn and I just loved the video of Megyn’s parents….I missed that show so it was wonderful to see them… I see where Megyn gets her wonderful charm from….
Keep smiling
Thanks for answering my question about you getting married. No, you don’t look pregnant. Love to watch you and will be back again. I love sweaters also, but living in Ga. it doesn’t seen to get very cold. I wish we would have some snow. I love snow cream. Have you ever made snow cream? If not, let me know and I will tell you how. It is simple and oh so good. Greta said”hi”
Mmmmmmm…snow cream. Yes, tell us how to make that/get that/buy that! I’m salivating just thinking of it!
Hey, thanks for the vids!
NO! You have not had too many hamburgers. You look great! I was just asking if a baby is in the future??? Just being nosey!!! I was watching the day Fox and Friends blew your secret about you getting married. I forget which one gave it away, they even had a photo, (not a good one) I think it was one of the girls and Steve tried to hush her but didn’t make it in time and he mentioned they might be in trouble with you for “spilling the beans” too early. Do you like Pug dogs? I saw a picture of one on your wall, is it a calendar? My grandson is 32 yrs old, not married, yet. His baby is his pug. Spoils that dog something awful.
Hi Janice!
In case you can’t find someone to help you out with those pics here are some screencaps I made from when you shared pics from your wedding on Jane’s show. I also have screencaps from when you shared pics from your honeymoon in Paris.
Don’t feel bad about tech challenged. Some of my very favorite ladies are tech challenged also. One the other day even said she hates email and still has trouble making it work. I won’t name names but I think you know who she is.
Congratulations Janice!
I love to see you on Fox. What a sense of humor you have. I’ve never seen you down.
You make watching the weather enjoyable. Keep up the good work.
