		<description>As for us shooting down the satellite, I belive it is all to show the Chinese, Russians, and N Korea that we can do it too.  Remember, China shot down a weather satellite last year.  That&#039;s my opinion.</description>

The snow in these places might not be &#039;global warming&#039; but it still may mean &#039;climate change&#039;.  These two terms are not interchangeable.  Don&#039;t get me wrong Janice me and you are still on the same page.  But what is of note is that this article does not mention that in 2002 and 2006 Athens also got snow.  And there are some very well known ski resorts in Turkey and it maybe rare for Istanbul to get snow...it does happen.  In 2003-04 it got more snow than usual.  We all will just have to keep an eye on this stuff and see if these events become more frequent. 

So when we read these articles we need to keep them in context.  Remember data can be manipulated to confirm any point.  And we humans in the information age have a very short memory of past events.
