Weather News and Name that President!
Good morning everyone!
A pretty quiet day in weather-land…we’ve got a clipper system diving in from Canada across the Midwest and Great Lakes. 1-3 inches of snow is expected over areas that have seen almost record-breaking snow this season. Once the storm gets closer to New England, that’s when it will get re-fueled and drop 6 to 12 inches over northern New England. We’re also watching a storm moving into the Northwest which could be a big weather maker for the Central U.S. over the weekend.
Ok – now that business is out of the way, here’s a fun little game to play at work when you’re bored (when the boss aint lookin’!) It’s also very educational, so maybe the boss won’t mind! See how you do!

janice,
that history quiz on the presidents is difficult! i know it shouldn’t be but… I guess the jury duty thing has you in a ‘civic’ mindset.
thank you for the picture. i am going to buy a solid gold frame to put it in. too bad there is that little event going on this weekend. : )
keep the uneventful weather coming.

Hey second favorite fireman. Glad you like the picture. Hope your firehouse is heated! It’s chilly tonight. The hubby didn’t do too bad on the Presidents quiz…He got more than half right…
A Late good morning Janice.
We’re still getting wrap around winds here in the capital District of New York and it’s cold too.
Tonight the locals say we’ll get down to -5 and still windy, yuck!!!
The Adirondack Mountains are known for their great Victorian/Rustic camps. Actually they are and were mini mansions. A few years ago when I was assisting an author on fire tower history we had the opportunity to visit the summer White House of President Benjamin Harrison.

We were allowed to take pictures both inside and outside of the camp under the agreement that the pictures would never be published or placed on-line. I can say that his summer White House is a beautiful rustic camp.
Make sure you have an extra blanket tonight Bill! CHHHHHIIIIILLLLLLYYYY!!!
Janice,
That game is way too difficult for me..I am the dumb one in the group…lol
Our snow is melting away today..the sun is shining bright…45 degrees…
Have a wonderful day..and for the record…Tic Tac Toe is a challenge for me…haha

Excellent article Jason. Thank you for sharing it. If you see anymore good ones, let us know.
I tried that “Name the Presidents” game. I got all of them except for Andrew Jackson.
Wow Brandon. Impressive. A big gold star for you!
I couldnt think of 12. What a history and political science major I am?
It’s tough David. And the time limit thing is so brutal! It almost guarantees you forget stuff when the clock is ticking!
Hi Janice..i always enjoy your weather reports in the afternoon..i was surprised one day when you mentioned your from newfoundland,,so is my mother..nice to see newfoundlanders making it big…and yes its a record snowfall this year in Canada..however where i live,,near the Vermont border..we didnt get very much snow here so far..Good luck Janice..Patrick:)
Gosh my homeschooler is so much better at that game than me! I would get so far in the history and have complete blocks of blanks!
This is a good game though!
HA! Maybe they should do this game on “Smarter than a 4th grader!”
Cool Game, only it didn’t have one American President listed. Jefferson Davis, our one and only President of the Confederate States of America. Not a U.S. President, but still an American President.
Thomas you are way smarter than I will ever be!
this game was fun– I was able to get 36 presidents- but not in order- and then I moved on to the name the countries in Asia–
I am taking the link to my emails and play there too– thanks!
