Philosophy of Charles Schultz…
I saw this, and knew I should pass it on! Especially since it’s from the creator of SNOOPY!
The following is the philosophy of Charles Schultz, the creator of the ‘Peanuts’ comic strip:
1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America.
4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.
5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winner for best actor and actress.
6. Name the last decade’s worth of World Series winners.
How did you do? The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners .
Here’s another quiz. See how you do on this one:
1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.
2.. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.
3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.
4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.
5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with .
Easier? The lesson: The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones who care.

That’s excelllent!
Can I post an answer to one of the questions?
3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile. JANICE DEAN
Awww Joe. You make me blush!
Hey Janice how are you doing today ?, hope your feeling good, its so awful to hear of the tornadic activity across the midwestern & southern states lately, thoughts and prayers for the folks out in those areas who have lost so much ,my wife Karen is a HUGE snoopy fan , took her to Knotts berry farm last summer when i went home to CA , must admit i grew up on snoopy, especfially during the holidays !!, i got her the charlie brown box set on dvd for her birthday this year, OMG ! LOL !, well its almost friday yea ! !, have a great day to you and Sean and all at FNC , hey Janice did you see the news story yesterday on Happening Now with the two dogs being airlifted by the LAPD after falling into a revene in Beverly Hills Glen canyons ? ?, really all out job by the guys , shows us that animals matter as much as humans do , and quite rightly so huh !
Love Richard , London England
I did see that story Richard about the dog being air-lifted to safety! I couldn’t stop watching – it was so heartwarming to see them saving animals like that. I think that’s great you gave your wife the C.B. box set! Excellent present!
I can name #3 and #5. But that’s not the point…great post Janice.
We should get another low to make it over the Rocky’s Friday night and Saturday. Hopefully this one will only bring the moisture and not the winds like last weekend.
Just 11 days until we are Alaska bound.
Take care Janice.
I see that LOW! It’s a non-stop Low-train! Are you all packed?
JD,
Excellent post! It is a great reminder of what is important.
Hopefully the weather will quiet down and the day will not be too long.
GL
Thanks Gary. Springtime is always a little nutty with nasty weather…and before you know it hurricane season will be upon us!
JD…..
That was great, thanks for the reminders about what is really important in life. First Rockies game today. It’s going to be great, near 60 with sunshine and lots of snow on the peaks and foothills. I’m going to the game today. Have you ever been to Denver. If you are ever planning to be here, make sure to let me know so I can get you Rockies tickets. It is an amazing stadium with a 100 mile view of the Rockies to the West while you are watching the game.
Have a great weekend.
Sunny
Thanks Sunny! It always brightens our day seeing your posts here! I would love to visit Denver. I need a tshirt that says “the mile high city! ”
JD,
Thanks for a timely reminder. I love Snoopy.
Me too clevergael!
