Severe night

Good morning!

A bad night for Arkansas. 7 reports of tornadoes, and looks like Little Rock took a direct hit. NWS crews will be out assessing the damage to determine if it was a tornado, and how strong it was.

Hail was reported to be the size of softballs in some areas, and the flash flooding continues especially for southern Arkansas.

The threat for tornadoes diminishes somewhat today and tomorrow as the storms lumbers east. We will still see the chance of very heavy rain, hail and damaging winds.

I’ve got another long day ahead of me, so I’ll keep you up to date…but in the meantime:

HAPPY FRIDAY!

What with the storm in Mississippi?

Comment by Janice Dean

Hey Connie. They blew through the area yesterday with a lot of damage unfornately. I haven’t heard of any fatalities thank goodness. A much calmer weekend for the South

You’re doing a great job keeping the folks up to date during this tornado season. Do you have access to Duel Pole Technology from remote feeds, there at Fox. Does it live up to the hype?

Comment by Janice Dean

Thanks Rich. Im not sure what that fancy technology is you’re talking about. Should I? Am I living up to the blonde highlights? :)
