Thursday early morn!
Good Morning everyone! The alarm went off at 3:30 so I could come in and help with storm coverage on Fox and Friends. I can’t wait for that nap at 2pm!
How’d you like the slideshow of your pictures? Don’t they look great? I apologize if we got some of your cities wrong. I did get some help from Blog-Mistress extraordinaire Taryn Sauthoff and she was having a bit of a hard time getting your city and name info on the pics, so we’ll do better next time!
Here’s the link to send me YOUR photos!
Keep sending them in, and we’ll do a slideshow periodically with your great snaps!
Weather-wise, a busy day ahead as severe weather grips much of the central U.S. We saw tornados yesterday through Texas, and today could be even worse with dangerous weather. Here’s a look at the Storm Prediction Center’s outlook (notice the slight risk stretches from the Gulf to the Great Lakes, and the moderate risk from NE Texas up into southern Illinois) There’s an impressive amount of snow also to mention from the Colorado Rockies up into the U.P. of Michigan. Some areas will see over a foot!

Talk to you later! Be safe, everyone.

Buenos Dias Goddess,
I caught ya on the show during my morning run on the treadmill. Had to switch channels after the heart monitor registered in the danger zone
You looked as gorgeous as ever…..sigh
Have a great day!
Ahh thank Luis. Had to have 5 cups of coffee, but I managed!
Thanks for the rain last night. I had .15 in my guage this morning. It came with lots of wind, lighting and some nickle size hail. I didn’t get a picture like I promised becuse I didn,t want my punkin head getting thumped by the hail. People east of here got more rain and everyone appreciates it. Wind is supposed to gust to 50 today here and we are under a red flag warning in spite of the shower last night. Gotta go in to town so I will see you later,
The Barron
Hey Barron! Glad you got a wee bit of rain…and wise move about not getting hit by the crazy hail! Keep us posted!
Hey Janice,
I might just be taking a nap with you. This is my first 4am shift in a while and I’m hurtin’.
Weather out here is not too bad. Check it out on satellite, we have a ridge building in from the west and the huge low to the east. Nice little convergence area right over central MT. It has some snow with it but not anything really scary.
We turned off out cable and internet at the house in prep for our move. So I cant send you any cool MT pics. I guess the first pics you will get from me will be from AK. 11 more days until the great journey.
Take care Janice.
It looks wonderful for your area for the next few days. I’m so excited for your big move, and can’t wait to see your pictures from AK! Enjoy the springtime out there David!
Hey Janice,
I loved the slide show! Dawn’s pictures of the flowers are beautiful. Even though I have some flowers of my own in bloom, it was nice to see so many in bloom at once! It’s amazing what a 73 degree day will do to flowers. It seems like half my daffodils opened up over night and now I have a bunch of them to join my hyacinths. I love spring! I just hope the people in the hard hit parts of the country will get a break soon. Be careful out there folks!
Now that I’m recovering from my big concert weekend, I have more energy to go through my photos for some cool shots to send you. I wish my cherry blossom pictures were digital, but maybe I’ll scan a couple to send. Maybe they’ll bright up the day of someone in cold country!
Have a great day everyone.
Margie
Would love to see some of your pics Margie! No rush. Glad it’s a lovely day where you are! It felt like spring today here ahead of the storms. I can’t believe some areas are going to get a foot of snow!!
JD…..
Could you please stop the snow here in Denver?
Hope you get that nap this afternoon before the svr wx outbreak really gets going.
Rob
HA HA! Sunny…you must get that all the time! How much have you gotten so far?
Hi Janice Dean,
So much for the whole global warming thing, we have had ten consecutive colder years since 1998. It seems this whole global warming thing could be a hoax, one of the hottest years was in 1934, long before our supposed massive polluting of the ozone. It seems we need to take a second look at this issue.
Oh Janice, you weren’t kidding about severe weather. Here in NW Wi today was a completely strange mix of rain, then sleet, then thunder! People wonder why we get so depressed in the Midwest! The winds were hitting 30 mph here, and sadly my neighbor’s garbage cans and gutter covers made their way across the street. I’m glad my cat decided he would rather lounge on the couch than prowl for mice today.
Hi, and thanks for the great weather here today. I know you have to cover the “hot spots” but how about some of the great beautiful weather we have?

Hi Janice. I am still here in lovely Iraq, but we should be on our way home in a couple of days. We are really just waiting here on a plane ride!
The weather has been mild and actually nice. People that have been here before say that this is really unusal to still be this cool in mid April. Hey, I’ll take it! The dust storms have died down. Those have us concerned because all air traffic is halted during these storms, some that can last for days.
I have been following the weather back home, and it looks like we have had an active spring. It’s tough to see all the damage people are having to endure. I do hope it settles down soon!
I had a nice treat a few days ago. I went to another mess hall on the other side of the camp, just to get a little change of scenery, and they had FOX NEWS on, and I saw you! First time I have in months!
I just hate that you were having to report bad weather and were not in your normally cheerful mood. But still nice to see you!
Take care and try to order up some nice weather for us in South Alabama a couple of weeks from now for our homecomeing.
