“Heavenly Encounters”
by Janice Dean
A facinating story about galaxies on a collision course to co-inside with the 18th Anniversary of the Hubble Space Telescope. The pictures are absolutely breathtaking!

Janice,
Thanks for sharing this story. I love looking at photos from the Hubble Space Telescope. These photos and story about the galaxies are fascinating. I love astronomy and I’m always fascinated by what the Hubble telescope finds. (That may be because I’m spacey!) I bought a CD-ROM with Hubble photographs and I love looking at them from time to time. Since the license allows, I used some in a PowerPoint presentation I did for my church a few weeks ago using a song called “God of Wonders” since the lyrics and photos fit perfectly together. I’m just fascinated by all the discoveries about the universe and how big and complex it is. I don’t know about you, but I don’t believe it all happened by accident.
I bought a poster of one of my favorite Hubble photographs. They call it “Pillars of Creation” and it has these huge columns of gas and light and color and it’s just awesome! If you come across any other photos, please post them. Thanks!
I wish everyone a great weekend!
Margie
Hi Margie! Yes, I’m facinated with what’s out there in deep space too…it’s so complex though that my brain starts to hurt when I think of all the possibilities and the “unknown”…I’ll keep my eyes out for more “space”-worthy photos for the blog!
If that doesn’t make the case for intelligent design, then I don’t know what does.
The universe didn’t just pop up out of nowhere.
Creation by an all powerful entity is the only logical conclusion.
you’re a deep thinker aren’t you D.O.C?
One more thing for all you “space cadets” out there…If you are interested in more information on the Hubble Space Telescope, visit the site at http://hubblesite.org. This site is filled with everything Hubble! Enjoy!

Good stuff Margie! Thank you for keeping us informed of all things “Hubble!”
Thanks, Janice – I love pics from space!!! And Hubble is 18??!!! My stars!!! (quoting Samantha Stephens!)
Yes! I love Bewitched!

PS..we go some much needed rain..thanks.
Hey Deb! Glad you are appreciative of the rain! It’s true that many areas need it badly. Can you believe this weekend is over???
Speaking of “Bewitched,” I met Barbara Eden in Chicago about 25 years ago. She was absolutely beautiful! When we shook hands, I noticed how attractive her hands were. But, then, everything about her was gorgeous!
I was sorry I had seen so few episodes of “Bewitched”….
