I’d buy a home on the Jersey shore and spend the summer there and here in Va I’d get a property and build the “ultimate” dog park for other dog lovers.
First, I would “retire” because managing that money will be a full time job, financial consultant or not.
Second, I would buy my Mom anything her heart desires because she deserves it.
Third, I buy my wife anything she wants because I did it for Mom and now I am in trouble.
Fourth, I would fly to NY to see the Goddess in person
That’s all I have to say about that….:)
Good Morning Janice..
Good to hear you are feeling a wee bit better..take care..
*******************************************************************************
Good Morning Everyone..
What a good way to start off the morning..MONEY!!and lots of it!!
I would buy property and build my children a new home each.Buy them new vehicles and of course give them some cash.
I would help other family members too..
And I would do many Random Acts of Kindness to those in need.. and enjoy every minute of it..
Just to name a few!!
Deb
I love what ifs!
Pay off every bit of our debt! Then I would do some home remodeling or build a modest new home. Then I would set up stuff for the kids and our family. Then I would donate some to breast cancer research, Salvation Army and Samaritan’s Purse. Oh and finally I would throw a big BBQ party with catering, we have never done catering.
This is a good question! I would get all my debts paid off. I would donate more money to the charities that I support now and look for new ones to support. I would definitely invest some. I could by myself some top of the line photo equipment and computer hardware/software so I could do all kinds of fun things with my photography. (I think it’s Canon who makes a zoom lens that costs $10,000–that’s more than I paid for my last car!) I’d be able to donate all kinds of things to my church. We wouldn’t have to worry about raising money to bring back the singer who came to our church last month. Her name is Sara Renner and she’s from Minneapolis and she sang using accompaniment tracks back in April. Next time she wants to bring some of her band and if I won the lottery, we could bring everyone instead of just a few of them. We’d be able to rent the highest quality sound equipment and all kinds of fun things. Of course this will never happen because I don’t play the lottery! But that’s what I’d do if someone gave me a ticket. And I would share the money with the person who bought me a ticket. It’s nice to dream…

First…I would pay off the morgages of all those family members who still have them…
I would invest enough to make sure my future is set….
I would give more to those charities that I support and like Margie find a few more to donate to…
I would build myself the most accessible dream house I could imagine…That would be a real dream…I home that really “worked” and wasnt just “do-able”
And since my folks have all they could wish for I would donate to the charities that they support….
And I would travel …TRAVEL!!!
First I would tithe to my church, which is a practice we already do with our income.
Next, I would buy/build homes (within reason) for my two married sons and their families.
I would put away money for the remainder of my other two sons’ college education.
I would help those charities that I’m already involved with (particularly the Wounded Warrior Project).
I would retire and insist that my husband sell his business and retire with me.
Minor home repairs and improvements. I’m pretty happy with the home we already own.
My husband and I would travel.
I guess then I would squander the rest. After all, money’s no good if you don’t spend it! Never saw an armored car in a funeral possession.

JD…..
Hope you continue to feel a bit better each day.
WWSD…(What would Sunny do)……
Pay off my mortgage and make sure I have a great income for the rest of my life. I would stop working. I would spend the first 6 months traveling all over the world. Then I would get a place in the mountains and another in the Caribbean.(St. Johns) I would make sure all my kids are well taken care of and my mother as well.
Then comes the important part……I would spend a great deal of time starting a school for underpriveledged kids. I would try to show the world that it is really all about education and that
poor, underpriveledged kids can be as successful as anyone.
What to do with everyone in your past trying to call you for money……I would tell them how happy I am to hear from them and that I was putting them on my list of people in need. Then tell them I’ll get back to them when I get everything put together. (snowballs chance in hell comes to mind)
Raining and overcast this morning in Denver, but it is supposed to clear up and warm up this afternoon.
Have a great day everyone.

Hey Sunny,
I like your plans for your money! I forgot to mention travel in the things that I would do. I’d have the best camera equipment so I could visit all the places I’ve wanted to see and take tons of pictures! I like your thoughts on helping the kids. We have a lot of poor kids in Cumberland so I’m sure I could figure out a way to help them. I think I would buy them all school supplies for the year because the schools can’t afford to furnish them and a lot of them can’t afford it either. My church collects supplies for one of the schools as one of our mission projects and I always enjoy going to the store to buy lots of fun stuff. Just think how much I could buy with a few million dollars!
I hope you have a great day (with clearing skies).
Margie
Oh this is easy! I try to win Publisher’s Clearing House every day (not into buying lottery tickets). If I won a ton of money after giving some to the kids I’d help a friend out. Her family is deeply in debt because of medical expenses. I’d pay them off for her! Another friend is losing her house so would pay that off. Then I’d give money to pediatric cancer research. Those kids are basically being experimented on being given adult chemo even though they don’t know the effects….and there are so many other horrible diseases out there…yeah, I could go through that money pretty quickly!
Oh yes Wounded Warrior is good. I love the travel idea! And the last thing I would do is hire a maid! Somebody to do the cleaning!
Thanks for sharing!
I wouldn’t have to worry what to do with all that money. Better ask my husband what he would do with it, cause i would die from heart atack. LOL
I think i would travel and help my brother out. Pay off bills. Then i would start a horse ranch for handicapped kids.
The maid is a great idea! I should have thought of that one. A maid would be a must, since I don’t like to clean anyway. But, I do like doing yard work. So I wouldn’t need a yard man–maybe a pool service since my two youngest sons hate cleaning the pool. However, they do like to swim; so they get to clean the pool for now.
Really, by “squandering” I don’t mean that I would waste the money. I would definitely want to do good with the money–give to worthy causes and put away money for my grandchildren’s college funds.
We sure do have alot of giving people on here..now if we could just WIN!!!
Hey Deb,
We are a giving bunch, aren’t we? (How’s that for a humble attitude?!) Maybe we could split the money with each other because there’d be plenty to go around. That way we can all give to the ones we mentioned. It’s nice to dream…
Margie
Since the weather has been so terrible in Ohio, I think I might just head someplace with nice tropical weather.
Then, I would go back to school and never ever graduate, just keep going, how fun would that be!!! I always wanted to go for history, archeology, marine biology….just learn all the cool stuff, then if you want, you would have enough money and go experience what you learned. So thats what I would do….I might by my wife a nice nursery also, she really digs that stuff!!!
Margie..
That is a great idea…so that settles it..we are going to split it!!
So when do I get my cut? LOL..
Deb
I’m retired 6 years now. My job took me all over the world and I’ve vacationed all over the world. My favorite vacation was taking the Orient Express from Switzerland to Yugoslavia, a trip sponsered by National Geographic. Because of a son who is with Continental I fly anyplace in the States for $12.50 and Europe for $51.00 The only travel I do today is to fly to different cities for college football games. With 196 million I might consider buying a small motor home and covering the country on wheels with my four legged buddy. I would like to go to Burning Man someday.
Hey Deb, so you want to know when you’ll get your cut? Well, I was going to say when a certain place freezes over but with global warming I guess that will never happen! (I’m sorry for that last statement–I think all this rain has gotten my brain a little soggy!) I like Steve-o’s idea about taking classes. I’d love to take some graduate courses in things like graphic design, production, etc. I’m fascinated with recording studios so I would love to learn how to do sound engineer work. For Christmas I wrote and recorded Bible stories for my little niece and that was a blast with adding sound effects and music and such. A friend told me about a free software download and it’s just like a regular recording studio. I had a blast with that, so with my millions I could construct my own studio!
Hey Don, with your millions, why don’t you buy yourself your own jet? You’d have enough money to have your own pilot and then you can go wherever and whenever you wanted! (You’d also have plenty of money to pay for the gas.)
This is just too much fun!
Margie
Hmmm,
I would set my daughter up with half of the winnings. As she will be 18 I would put 90% of the money locked up in either short or long term investments so she could not go out and spend it all like a teenager would.
Then I would set aside a fund for my future Grandchildren and then build a modest home out away from town and of course quit my job.
There are a few charities that I will also make donations to as well and help out the volunteer services in my community; fire department and ambulance corps.
Hey Margie…
My grandson is still napping so I will chat a bit..
My brother has a small recording studio..he is a music freak..and always has been..he is very talented…along with his recording studio…he has a disc duplicating business..he designs websites..(for some pretty famous ppl)..and some not so famous..he does photography and video work…and more..
I think you and my brother have alot in common..
Deb
This is an easy one for me. My Mother comes from a family of 10 brothers and sisters 7 Boys 3 Girls. I win that jackpot. Me Mom Uncles Aunts Cousins and extended cousins are renting an RV and cousin who lives in New York is either flying to Chicago or we’re going there to pick her and her family up and we are going to Las Vegas to see my oldest cousin and surprise him with a visit there. Then by that time should have my hours to become a teachers aid and I will keep that job because helping kids with ld or Learning Disabilities like I had is a life long dream of mine
Oh I want one of those fancy RVs, so we can travel to our son’s college next year. Yep we are so giving and humble with money we don’t have!:D
Well, this just in from the Associated Press …

CLEVELAND – The Ohio Lottery says a winning Mega Millions ticket has been sold in Ohio.
Lottery spokeswoman Marie Kilbane said Friday night that the ticket for the $196 million drawing was bought from Main Street Wine & Spirits in Amelia in southwest Ohio near Cincinnati.
She says she doesn’t know if other winning tickets have been sold. The lottery expects to have more details on Saturday.
Let’s see … I got relatives in Ohio … And some near Cinci … Mebbe I got a really rich relative now …
