Janice Dean the Weather Machine

A Wedding…

Hi guys!  Just got back from Molly Henneberg’s wedding this weekend just outside of D.C.  It was a joyous occasion, and Miss Molly looked absolutely breathtaking.  Some of the gals there took many pictures, and I made them promise to email them to me, as I forgot to bring my camera!  (I know, I know – I’m kicking myself for not remembering to bring it with me)  Thankfully my buddy  Johnny Dollar has got video of Bret Baier and Shannon Bream (who I had the pleasure of sitting next to last night for dinner, and who is also one of the nicest ladies at Fox) talking about last nights occasion with a few pictures included.  You can take a peak here.  I also promise to post pictures once I get a hold of some of them!

I’m sure you won’t be surprised to hear this but Molly is one of the most kindest, and sweetest ladies I’ve ever met.  I was honored to get an invite to her wedding, and was not surprised by the outpouring of friends and family that filled the church and the reception.    I don’t often get to see a lot of our Washington Bureau Staff, so this was also a treat.    Molly looked gorgeous (not hard for her to accomplish) and her husband Chris was so dashing.   It was one of the nicest weddings I’ve ever been to, and  one of those nights you never want to end!  It was also very touching that Molly paid tribute to her good friend Tony Snow who was there with us in spirit last night.

Anyhow, just wanted to check in and say hello.  I hope you all had a great weekend.    Thanks for continuing to make this blog such a great place to be a part of.

Sounds like a beautiful wedding..I hope they have a wonderful life together.

And that was very sweet for her to mention her co-worker Mr. Snow, on her special day.

I am glad you had a good time..

Janice!
Glad you had a good time! Did you drive down or fly? I’ve been on the road to and from NY on week-ends and it isn’t fun…..especially at the Delaware Bridge and on the NJ turnpike.

I saw in the paper that Molly was getting married this week-end and I was wondering if that was what you were coming to!

Well, one of D.C.s hottest bachelorettes is off the market! ;-)

Comment by Janice Dean

We drove. It actually wasn’t too bad. A few little snags Saturday am, but Sunday am was a breeze.

Janice, I love when you write:

So wonderfully said!

Congrats to Molly and her husband!!

(and thank you Janice for the weather in the Big Apple this weekend :) )

Ha! I’m glad you enjoyed the NYC weather Guillaume! It was pretty hot in D.C – the hairdos were definitely in need of extra hairspray!

Hey Janice,

I’m glad you had a great time at Molly’s wedding! She seems like such a sweet woman and I wish her much happiness. She’s a local gal–she worked at WHAG-TV in Hagerstown, which in about an hour from Cumberland and about 6 miles from where I used to live. I think I remember her from those days because I thought her name sounded familiar when she first joined Fox News. I hope you’ll post some pictures when you get them!

Speaking of pictures–I took 280 pictures today at my nephew’s birthday party! I figured it out–we were there for about 4 1/2 hours, so that comes out to a little more than one picture per minute! There was a lot of action going on inside and out, so that kept me rather busy. We timed our return trip home just in time for the cold front coming through with some nasty storms. What fun! Thankfully, the extremely heavy rain didn’t last too long, but it was stressful driving. Now I’m really tired and I’m so glad I’m off on Monday. I hope you get some rest this evening and that you’re ready for work in the morning. I’m glad you had such a great time.

Take care,
Margie

I wish Molly and her husband (Chris I believe is his name) all the best….

The joy of a deep love and the strength of a deep committment

And the patience and fortitude to get them thru whatever trails cross their paths…

(Oh yea and glad you and Sean had a nice memorable time too….. ;) )

Comment by Janice Dean

Yup! It’s Chris. They look wonderful together!

How nice for the Fox family that there was a moment of joy as a counterpoint to the sadness of Mr. Snow’s passing. From what I know of Tony, I suspect he’d encourage his friends to go on with life as always. Congrats to Molly!

Hey Janice,

I love Molly especially during football season because she is a diehard Redskins fan and so am I. Congrats to her and their families.

Hope you are having a great weekend.

Comment by Janice Dean

She is a huge huge fan! I love that she knows her football! Good to hear from you David!

I think Mollys husband is a Marine. I seem to recall the rumor going around that some Marine was dating her. But you know how rumors are….;-)

I wish Molly and Chris all the best in their new life together.

Molly is a Fox News Favorite of mine. I always enjoy seeing her.

Tell me, Janice, did you dance a lot at her wedding reception?

Your buddy,

Comment by Janice Dean

Believe it or not George, I didn’t do a lot of dancing. I was too busy chatting with everyone! (that plus the fact that I wore very uncomfortable shoes!!)

What do you all think about that shocking report on Geraldo about the world coming to an end in 2012?

I personally dont think thw world is going to end, but with all the chaos happening around the world, not to mention we live in a post 9/11 world. I think its safe to say the world isnt as peaceful as it used to be. But you hear about these Apocalyptic theories a lot, it reminds me of those Weekly World News publications.

I remember when Y2K was getting closer, everybody was so worried that entire cities would be left in the dark, not to mention computers were going to go haywire. But look, we pulled through it just fine.

But if the world were able to end, i would probably live life to the fullest. Cherish each and every day that you have with your friends and family. Gain enough knowledge and wisdom so you will be better of in the future.

I would also do every aspirations known to man. Maybe travel the world, go bungee jumping, go on a cruise ship, etc.

It would be like that movie with Jack Nicholson, “The Bucket List”.

A great movie, that teaches us that you are never too old or young to chase your dreams.

I guess you all heard about Budeweiser being bought out by a foreign company in Belgium. I think it should have stayed owned by a company in the US. Maybe Coors Light could have offered to take over the operations. Its such a shame. A ton of people are going to lose their jobs because of this. Any thoughts?

Don-

I think Janice probably flew, probably in first class.

Its just like all those FNC anchors who work in Washington, and go to NYC to cover the primary elections earlier this year.

I know that Greta did a couple of her shows last week from NYC, so did Brit Hume, Bret Baier, among others.

Comment by Janice Dean

Uhhh….no first class for me…we drove…

Brad –

First, there’s no way Coors Light could have brought Bud. Coors is one-fifth the size of Bud. Second, did you know Coors Light is owned by a Canadian company? Yes, Molson owns Coors Light. Even if Coors Light was able to buy Bud, it would still be a foreign owned.

This is happening because of our weak dollar. We are now paying the price for sending so much dollars overseas over the last 10 years. All the foreigners holding our depreciating dollars want to cash them in by buying hard assets. Bud is not the first American company to be bought by foreigners and it won’t be the last. Expect more deals like this. You can blame Greenspan for printing so much money over the last few years and making our dollars worth less relative to your foreign counterparts.

Hey Brad,

Sometimes Greta takes the train to NY because she gets so frustrated with airports and delays. I read her blog from time to time and she’s always complaining about the airports because she’s on such a tight schedule and even a relatively short delay can make things complicated. The trains are much more dependable and it’s not that far. Greta has some great airport stories every once in a while and I feel sorry for her and everyone else that has to fly as part of their jobs. It must be frustrating.

Have a great day.

The train is a great way to travel Margie!

Thanks Margie and Brad. I know a lot of people who do the NY/DC hustle and it isn’t always by airplane. I ride the train most of the time myself and drive if I have to do any work in the city or in Brooklyn. Most of the time there, my car stays parked while I walk or ride the subway to wherever I have to go.

Comment by Janice Dean

Yup – I ride the subway every single day here in NYC!

I read Greta blog from time to time, she posts a ton of interesting and informative topics, but i never post comments there, because most of the time there is bashing and people saying nasty stuff to each others.

I know that she is going to have an exclusive interview with John McCain tonight, so i am sure we will be looking forward to that.

Comment by Brad

I think maybe Cindy McCain heirs are having financial problems, that could be the reason they are thinking of selling Budweiser to a foreign company. That is not a good sign, and right before the election. I hope it doesnt affect her husbands chances of winning the White House.

I have heard of a brand of beer that originated in Hawaii called Primo. If any of you do a search, you will know what i am talking about. Anhauser Busch should have thought of joining forces with them.

Brad,

I used to read Greta’s blog all the time but I don’t as much any more because the people do get really nasty. I scroll through what Greta has to say and that’s about it. Every once in a while I’ll post, but not as often as I used to. I love Greta and I love her show, but she’s got some mean people on her blog. Janice’s blog has a much kinder, gentler crowd!

Margie-

I just wandered over to Greta blog again, its once again filled with nasty posts. I think she should moderate those comments, and just let the regular ones in. Maybe you can suggest that to her.

I dont know if you are a fan of football, but what do you think about Bret Favre making a comeback? I think the GB Packers should just release him from his contract, so he can play unconditionally for another team.

You are one of the kinder, gentler, people at Janices blog. Your knowledgable posts are a huge part of what makes it so interesting and fun to post. At least for me :)

Have a great day.
