Thanks for posting all the severe weather tracking updates.

I sure hope you are prepared for this Hurricane, and have taken all the necessary precautions. But dont be too scared, it sounds like you are very brave person. You need to set an example for your family and everyone else.

Take Care.

You are a great American, like i mentioned before, for proudly displaying your American Flag outside your house. But i dont think you should risk your life or injury just to retrieve it. Your safety is a lot more important, and it comes first.

Hey Gang,

I hope those people in Texas are preparing for this storm. All too often people take hurricanes for granted. It's amazing how much rain those storms can dump. It's amazing how much rain a thunderstorm can dump. I thought getting a quarter inch of rain in 20 minutes was a lot on Sunday, but last night we got a quarter inch of rain in about 10 minutes. The lightning was frightening. I can't remember the last time we got that much lightning all at once. I turned off my TV and my computer because there was so much lightning around. Right now it's 8:20 in the morning but it looks more like nighttime with another storm heading this way. The thunder is rumbling but I haven't seen that much lightning. It might be on the other side of the building (thankfully). At least I'm inside so I'll be dry. Last night was funny because when I went out to take my flag in, it already had started raining. That wouldn't have been so bad since the flag is mounted right next to my steps so I don't have to go out from under the roof. However, the wind was blowing and when I opened my front door I got soaked! My porch is at least 6 feet deep so the wind certainly was blowing! That'll teach me to get the flag before the rain starts.

I hope everyone has a great day (and a safe day)!

Thanks for tracking this for us. I just moved to the coastal bend about 2 months ago and this is very scary for me. It's good to have people to keep us well informed. You stay safe out there!
