I heart “Store Adore!”
Ok – so I have to plug one of my favorite pass-times as we head into the weekend: SHOPPING! If you watched Fox and Friends this morning (and Alisyn’s After the Show Show) you might’ve caught a segment featuring Ali and Meredith Barnett talking about Meredith’s website called “Store Adore” Lately with all of my maternity wardrobe shopping, I’ve been going on-line to get stuff (thanks to a lot of your suggestions!), and now find this is the easiest, and least stressful way shop these days (since I get easily winded while waddling through the department stores!)
Well, this morning I saw this great place to buy some fun election stuff – incase you want to wear your candidate’s name or face proudly on a t-shirt, sunglasses or even earrings! Especially with Hallowe’en coming up, I have a feeling there’s going to be a few folks leaning towards politically based costumes! Check out this great web-based boutique for all sorts of fun stuff, and great gift ideas! It’s Store Adore: www.storeadore.com
This site is also a great place for shoppers to find information on the best boutiques and specialty stores around the cities you live in! You can find exclusive deals, find new stores, and blog about all things shopping with people who love to shop!
If you want to head directly to check out some of the great political shopping items that were featured on Fox and Friends (and the After the Show Show) you can head here:

Hi Janice!
I’ve been shopping online for years now, ever since we were stationed somewhere that had very limited shopping choices, unless you wanted to look like everybody else in town and that’s never been my way. I’m not much of a mall rat either, so online shopping works for me. I could give a long list of favorite online destinations, but the best tip I can share is that whenever I make purchases I always look for coupon codes before hitting the place order button. There are many sites that provide them, but the one I use the most is: http://www.couponheaven.com/
Have a good day, All!
I think I’m hooked to on-line shopping now Gina!!! Especially for Christmas! Thanks for that link too!
Because of my limited mobility I do almost all of my shopping online. I think I could qualify as an “expert” on how to find stuff and where the best places are.
Because my husband works in CA and is only home a few days a month, he stocks up on groceries for me. I can’t load my chair into my van by myself, so the only “shopping” I can do is through drive-up windows or if I have someone to go along to load the chair and take it out for me. (Don’t worry, it’s not heavy lifting. I have a motorized lift installed in the van.)
What would we do without drive thru windows!
You can go stay in your pjs!
Good morning Janice,
I must admit that I love shopping on line. Usually I have great luck finding what I want plus I’ve never been a bargain shopper. I’ll pay full price to get it here quick, fast and in a hurry instead of going all over town to find the lowest price. Of course, we’re not quite on the same scale of “shoppers’ paradise” here as y’all are in NYC.
Mississippi is one of those states with a “no campaigning within 150 feet of a polling area” law. So, I’ll have to remove my McCain/Palin button or turn my shirt inside out if I happen to have it on when I go vote.
The big buzz with my family this past week is what the little ones will be wearing for Halloween. The twins (6 months old now) are going as a pea in a pod and a Tootsie Roll. Allison is the pea; Hunter is the Tootsie Roll. Katie will be a princess—naturally! Carter was supposed to be Shir Khan (like from The Jungle Book movie), but the head part of the costumer freaked him out. So now he’s going as a cowboy. He likes the cowboy hat. Not sure what Nickolas, Jr. will be yet, but I’m sure it’ll be interesting. Looks like Halloween’s gonna be alot of fun!
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
Gwen
Those Hallowe’en costumes sound absolutely adorable Gwen! You’ll have to take some pictures and send them to us on the blog!
A sunny comfortable day in S. Texas Janice . This is the best time of year weatherwise .
I’m so glad you’re enjoying nice weather in South Texas Charles! You deserve it!
Hello everyone,
I love online shopping! More times than not, I can get free shipping and better pricing. Another place to look for bargains and coupons is http://www.fatwallet.com. have a great weekend!
Lilli
Thanks for the link, Lilli!
In my favorites list I have a folder called “Shopping”. I even have sub-folders within that for Gifts, Clothes, Pets, and more.
I may be repeating myself here, but one of my favorites is JC Penney. They have a wonderful web site, frequent sales, sometimes free shipping, and great quality merchandise.
I like to snack on nuts. They help lower your cholesterol and they’re yummy.
The best place to get great prices on nuts and other snacks is http://www.bulkfoods.com. They ship quickly and their shipping charges are really, really low. Instead of chocolate covered raisins, I get carob covered raisins or peanuts. Can’t tell the difference… and much healthier. Also love yogurt covered raisins and peanuts. The rice cracker snacks are really great, too. I’ve been buying from them for years and never been disappointed. I always get the five pound bags, but they do have one pound on most things. I get those when I just want to try something new.
Hey Janice..
I love shopping online…and anticipating the arrrival of the package(s) are even more fun-er
It’s like Christmas …!!!
Thanks for the tip about StoreAdore, Janice! Last night I was thinking about what to give my roommate for Christmas. I know she likes merchandise from Express. But I paid a quick visit to StoreAdore and saw some things I think she will like.
I also saw a link to a store call Heist in nearby Venice. I’ll check it out. You see, ya’ never know what you will learn on Janice’s great blog!
Venice is on Abbott Kinney, named for the man who started Venice about 100 years ago. He’s the one who designed the canal area, using Venice, Italy as his guide. Homes line these canals. There are plenty of walkways. This is one of the more expensive areas of Venice.
Time to get ready for church….
