Don, I think we play your Seahawks on Thursday. I hope they are as generous with us as they were with Margie’s Redskins

A hunch and thats all I will call it for now till I do my picks tomorrow night in lieu of the Thanksgiving games (usually do them on Friday) Titans should run the Lions to 0-12 although Lions have a bad habit of playing like world beaters on Thanksgiving (the Detroit Super Bowl) Cowboys over Seahawks we'll throw that third game in as a wild guess Cards over Eagles

I remember 'Da Bears back in '85. I was just a baby back then (not really, but). Jim McMahon, the Fridge, and the Superbowl Shuffle. Ditka. The SNL skit was absolute greatness. I hope I can find it on the SNL site to let my kids see it. They know about some of that stuff, even though we don't let them watch it regularly. (The only skit they have seen is the one from '92 ish that makes fun of Bubba jogging to McD's for his egg mcmuffin and his policy on Somalia.)

Oh I remember those days well. My two favorite teams were the Bears and whichever one of those teams were going to beat Green Bay. That was my first go around in college. Great times. I still look forward to those games in Detroit and Dallas always thought they were so cool because not only would you get a game always wondered how Thanksgiving Dinner was done there especially since the Cowboy game never gets done till 6 or 7 at night

Yeah, I think I got sucked into the vortex as well when I tried to post one earlier. I watched most of the Cowgirls game. It was nice to beat the 49ers. Reminded me of the days of late high school/early college when the road to the Super Bowl went through either Dallas, San Fran, or Green Bay. In fact, I'll never forget the NFC Championship game in January of '93. That day, I got my acceptance letter from A&M. (Little did I know at the time that I'd meet my husband there.) Now the 1-15 season was REALLY painful. That was 8th or 9th grade I think. (It's been a while.)

Now A&M is the one that I worry about this week. We have to play tu (Texas). We hate them. They hate us. Luckily, we are on a 2 year winning streak against them. I hope we make it 3. If not, at least I can have a beverage or 2.

Time to glue some stuff together to make Scooter's lapbook for literature. The boy can't stand to do arts and crafts type stuff, so I compromise and do the cutting and pasting, he does the research. That and get Kyle to finish his math. He's working on column addition with carrying. (2nd day on it, and he gets it with no problem. Tomorrow we move on.)

Hey Jennifer,

Don't feel too bad--the Cowgirls did win their game last weekend! At least the Redskins won their game because they had lost a couple in a row and I was getting rather bummed out.

I'd post my stress reduction link again for everyone except that it got sucked up in the spam filter yesterday so I don't want that to happen again. I don't even remember what thread I posted that on. I was on a roll for a while with links going through but the last two got sucked up. Oh well, that's life.

Hey David...just wait until she says "Dada" for the first time. My husband just melted. Elizabeth now has him wrapped around her little pinkie (just like her brother, especially when she said "Bubba"). She also says "Mama". The scary thing is that she's only 6 months old. She also sits pretty well and will stand up if you help her, then she'll hold on for a few minutes. This is her new crib trick. I'm in big trouble with her. She's doing stuff earlier and faster than either of her brothers. (And she's very pretty, so we're going to have to make sure to have weaponry and ammo when she's a teenager to keep those boys away.)

Margie, can you email me the link you were talking about? I wasn't able to get on yesterday. My address is jen_brownlee_97@yahoo.com. I need all of the stress reduction I can get these days.

I-45 needs to be good from north of Houston all the way up to Dallas and we'll be good for Thursday. The afternoon and evening will be spent watching football. Cowgirls in the afternoon, Aggies that night (on ESPN so that everyone can watch us get clobbered by the hated teasippers). If you do watch the game, hopefully they'll at least show snippets of the Aggie Band. They do amazing stuff. My husband was in there, and both boys have already decided to follow in Daddy's footsteps.
