Janice Dean the Weather Machine

Update

Hi everyone…

Quick update on doctor’s appointment – all is well.  Baby is still breech, and looks like a c-section is in order.  The doctor wants me to rest and have him gain a little more weight before the operation which will be the week after next.  I did some research, and only 3 percent of babies are still in breech at this late during the pregnancy!  He’s already being difficult!  haha! :)

Glad to have some time off before-hand, and I’ll continue to keep you up to date!

Hope you’re all doing well!  Will check in here and there to say HI!

Janice

Hey Janice,

Thanks for the update. I’m sorry your little guy is being difficult, but don’t give up hope–there’s always a chance he’ll get his act together and get aimed in the right direction! I’m keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you!

Hi Friend Janice.
Thanks for updating us, I’m glad you’ll be able to get plenty of rest beforehand. I know you are probably nervous at the prospect of a C-section, but you will do just fine, you are healthy and strong and will recover nicely I’m sure with plenty of rest afterward as well. I get the sense that your husband is a guy who has been and will be extremely involved and willing to take on whatever percentage of the load he needs to and, of course, you’ll have family help as well I’m sure. Speaking of husbands, mine just became a fan of yours on Facebook! Hmmmmmm, should I be jealous?!?!?
You take good care, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
God Bless.

Oh, dear Janice……….I was a breech-baby, ummmmm 70 years ago. I always say, “I started out doing things the hard way, and I’m still doing it MY WAY!!”. And, I might add having fun at it!

Except that it won’t be “fun” for you to bend over for a while, you and Jr. will be super-duper!

I’ll keep the three of you in my thoughts and prayers, that included Daddy too! The waiting is just as hard on him as it is on you.

God bless,
Carolyn

Janice, we are all with you. Keep that baby growing and have it whatever way is appropriate. You are beautiful, competent and good at your job. The odds of the baby being is same is great.

Be good, relax if possible and follow the Drs. instructions. We will you and the baby well.

You mothers keep the world going. Without you, what would we do.\

Pete, an old man of 82 with a sick wife.

God Bless you and go with the flow. Stay cool and relaxed as possible.

I suppose your going to blame his being difficult on being a guy huh? J/K. Seriously though keep up your spirits (drink em later)

I’ve had 6 c-sections so if you need to talk to anyone feel free to email me any time: lmworley416@comcast.net
It’s not the best way to deliver (recovering from major surgery while taking care of a newborn…yeah, fun!) but oh what a blessing to have that option! I would have died giving birth to my first if c-sections weren’t available!
Saying extra prayers!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Janice,

Thanks so much for the update…You will do great with the C-section. At least you know now, instead of being in labor for hours, and then they decide you need one. Just follow the Doc’s orders and get that rest and eat-up so lil’ man will gain some weight. I know you are super excited, enjoy every second!!!

I’m right here if you need me. :)

JD,
Just checked in and caught your update. The C-section delivery will be fine. Don’t stress too much about it. As I told you, Eric was breech and never did turn. Doctor said he was too large to try (8 lb, 14oz) and could risk complications by trying natural delivery, so C-sec was the way to go. Recovering from a major surgery is no fun. It’ll take weeks to feel anywhere near normal again. Trust me…YOU WILL BE ABLE TO STAND UP STRAIGHT AGAIN ONE DAY!

Hang in there! You are in our thoughts and prayers. :)

Take care of yourself and let your husband wait on you ! God Bless and we can’t wait for the birthday! We will be praying for you! Hugs

JD…You’ll be good. Elizabeth was breech at 37 weeks, but flipped by 38. She was a pain because they had to check me into the hospital to attempt to flip her. Well, they get me checked in, hooked up to an IV (which took 5 sticks to get it in because I have difficult veins), and get the med administered to stop contractions. By the time my OB got there with the ultrasound to do it, she had flipped. And 8 months later, she’s still being difficult.

If your OB hasn’t mentioned it, you may ask him/her to try doing a version as a last attempt to avoid the c-section recovery. It’s a procedure done at the hospital w/ ultrasound that involves manually flipping the baby over to stand on his head.

Hi Janice! We miss you on Fox News but we’re glad you have some time off to rest up. The little fellow seems to prefer the breech position, huh? Everything will be fine, just get lots of rest & let us know as soon as the little fellow arrives in about 2 weeks! All the best!!

Hi Janice, we watch you from Baja California, Mexico. I delivered a breech baby in 1977….naturally because it was too late to do anything but go! He will be 32 this weekend! All went and is well. C-sections make it easier from what I hear. We are rooting for you and the “family”. Take care, rest and enjoy!

Oh boy Janice!

I would imagine the time off will be welcomed, but I’m sure you wish it was all over with by now. Take this time to get some well deserved rest because free time and rest will be in very short supply once your son arrives.

Then the only weather you’ll have to concentrate on is the indoor weather, as you know it will be getting quite frigid next week.

As for your boy being difficult already, isn’t that what we men are suppose to do? ;-) Although we men can say the same thing, but I guess it all depends on which perspective one looks at it from.

You’ll do fine in the weeks ahead, Janice! Before long, you and your new baby will be cuddling and Sean will be right there by your side.

I’ve thought about you often during these past months. You bring so much to Fox News — and to us, your bloggers and loyal viewers. Your blog attracts very nice people.

It’s been eight weeks already since my roommate, Cleta, broke her hip. We saw her orthopaedic surgeon today at St. John’s Medical Centre in Santa Monica. He said she is coming along beautifully and no longer needs to use her walker.

Tomorrow, we’ll walk down to the post office, two blocks away, mail a few things, and check our P.O. box. On our way back, we’ll stop by the pet store and look at the kittens and pups. I wish we could take in a kitten, but our 15-year-old cat, Thumper, prefers to be the only cat in our home. Then we’ll stop by our neighborhood branch of the public library. Cleta hasn’t picked out any books since she’s been recovering.

I told her today that I have really enjoyed being her caregiver, cook, dishwasher, janitor, and gopher during these past eight weeks. Of course, she’s enjoyed it, too! She wants me to continue taking care of her.

Last Friday, a UPS man knocked on our door and left us a pleasant surprise. My Uncle Bob sent us three different sized boxes of Fannie Mays Candies, my favorite. Cleta, who has always watched her weight closely, wouldn’t touch them, so I’ve knocked off most of each box.

So it goes!

Hi, Janice…just wanted to add my loving thoughts and prayers for you as you await the arrival of your Little Man! The last part of the waiting feels like the “longest”, but believe me, it is all worth the wait! Nobody ever wants “surgery”, but I promise, no matter “how” your Little Man arrives, you would do it again in a heartbeat! You are about to embark on the greatest adventure of your life….motherhood! As a grandmother of 10, I can assure you that nothing will ever bless and affect you like this journey! You are going to be a wonderful mother and your son will be so fortunate to have you as his mom! He’s just probably “practicing” being a teenager, and when he finally makes his “grand entrance”, you can just hold and rock him a little bit longer than “necessry” (the feeding is over, let the bonding continue!), and you can just love him “one-on-one”, the way only moms can do!

Take care…be at peace and know you are loved and supported by all your “fans”, and we are all praying for a safe and easy delivery for our Weather Machine! God bless, GrandBobbie (What some of my grandkids call me! Some call me Gram. Some even call me Bob! Hey, it doesn’t matter…just so they call me!) xox

I have watched you for so long, I had to tell you my grand daughter is going to have a little girl, hers is also a c-section week of the 19th because she is breeched. I have compared the two of you for weeks now and to have this happen is amazing. My prayers are with you and your baby as my grand daughters. I bet you both will be in the hospital at the same time. May God bless all 4 of you. Will let you know. Her name is McKenzie Charlene.

Janice….You’ll do fine.
Our daughter was breech, the Dr turned her in the womb during labor, although they don’t practice that anymore. Believe me, I’d have rather had the c-section.
Her son was also breech. The c-section was a breeze for her!

Thank you for updating us.

Hi Janice,
When I was a high risk pregnancy in 98 delivered 99, my daughter made the Dr’s appts interesting. HE went from her head is HUGe to she is sideways, then breach, then fine, then the 9th month came and she was not able to get her HUGE head in position. It had been there, but the Dr said that she must have come up and not been able to get back down. Thank God because I had told him that BIG babies run in my family. He said after it was all done that she did the right thing because I would have ended up going for hours of labor and then end up with a c section and be sore EVERYWHERE. She went from 50% of being here early in my pregnancy to be a full term miracle weighing in 8/11/99 at she was 8lbs 11.9 oz and the morphine made me tell the nurse who wanted to put that she was born 8-11 and weigh 8-11. I said that 11.9 should be 12. So she her birth weight is 8 lbs 12oz. Her HUGE head measure 14 inches. My 10lb nephew did not have that big of head. Anyway, I had my c section on Wed and was home on Friday. I had trouble getting in and out of bed, but was glad to be home and so was she. We were up and ready for visitors that Saturday. I did not have a terrible experience with my c section that others talk about. I just remember soreness when getting up and not being able to carry more than her and her blanket. You are told not to carry over 10 lbs and she was close to 9 herself. Best of lucky to you and your family. I will pray for you to have the same great experiences!

Hi Janice,
I just wanted to let you know first that I enjoy your weather reports on Fox news.
you will be in our prayers & I hope everything comes out OK.
Our daughter who is now 14, was a planned c-section baby. my wife said it was much easier than our first child who she was in labor 12 hours with & then they had to do an emergency c-section.
she recovered much faster with the planned c-section baby, as a matter of fact, she said had she known that it was going to be that easy, we would have had more babies.

well I hope everything works out for you & we will keep you & your baby in our prayers.
God Bless You & Your Family
Robert

Hi Janice,
I enjoy your weather forecasts on fox news.
both of our children were c-section babies, the last one was a planned c-section,
even though my wife was sore from the surgery, she recovered quickly. She said had she known that having a planned c-section without going into labor was so easy, we would have had a houseful.

I hope everything works out OK for you & your son.
we will be praying for you & your son’s safe delivery
God Bless You & Your Family
