Ice Age?

Interesting article especially in light of the not-so-warm winter we’ve had so far!

http://english.pravda.ru/science/earth/106922-earth_ice_age-0=

In other weather-related news, we didn’t get much snow in Central Park from the storm yesterday, but we did take a few pictures outside which I will try to post later on today or tomorrow.   Get ready for a big cold surge across the much of the country next week…as the polar plunge digs deep and hangs around for awhile.  BRRRRRRR!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far!    I have to share with you my latest craving that is going to make losing the baby weight even harder: NESTLE’S CHOCOLATE MILK!  The fine folks at Nestle’s have given me the greatest gift of a half gallon carton of ready-made chocolate milk that I dream about at night, and could easily drink by the gallon per day!  I heart  Nestle products.

Talk to you later!

Hi there mom in waiting,

Thank you for the link to that article, it repeats some of what I’ve been saying on this blog concerning the Global Warming myth. Our planet is constantly changing and we are powerless to stop the process, our climate comes and goes in cycles and any Global climate change is not the result of any man made phenomenon.

I’ve been dealing directly with the environmentalists for the past 15 or so years now and I’ve learned all too well that much of what they attempt to convince the people about is solely for the advancement of their ideology. They will use deceit, lies and manipulation in order to achieve their goals.

Yet my biggest disappointment is with people in general…good grief we were all born with the most powerful computer known to man, a brain! Yet when it comes to hype, lies and sensationalism on the TV our society becomes a pack of village idiots.

I will say though that we are a wasteful society much of which is based on materialism, and we do need to clean up our act. Although I truly pity the person who falls victim to the “Convenient Lies” that are promoted by Al Gore and the environmental community. They have a hidden agenda and their course of action is to scare the people into believing whatever they say so that the Federal and State governments will regulate in a way that the environmentalists see fit.

Trust me folks the Global Warming hype is a myth on the grandest of Fairy-Tale proportions!

Hey Janice and all,

Chocolate Milk is my favorite drink!! I craved it with both of my pregnancy’s (sp?) and I still drink it everyday. I drink the low-fat…and it is delish!

We had rain and mild temperatures yesterday…but today it is hovering around 30, and colder temps are coming.

I am off to the grocery store…and a quick visit to my daughter’s..she has been having alot of back problems…so I am going to check on her and see the grand kids. Looks like I will have to bundle up and actually wear a coat.

Have a nice day everyone, and JD enjoy your Chocky Milk!!!!

Hey Janice!

I’m sorry you didn’t get much snow yesterday. We got a little freezing rain but with the sun coming out, the ice won’t stay around too long. I put salt on my sidewalk yesterday evening and it doesn’t even look wet now. The ice on my car is melting so it will be gone soon. I’m sure the outlying areas had more ice since I live far enough into town that it’s a little warmer. I wish I could take a picture of the little icicles on the telephone line next to my house, but my digital camera doesn’t have manual focus. You can set it on infinity so in a way, that’s manual focus, but when I zoom in on the icicles, the camera focuses on my neighbor’s roof instead of the icicles. Oh well, other than that, I love my camera! Someday I’ll buy myself a digital SLR so I can have real manual focus.

Nestles chocolate milk sounds good! I love chocolate milk. I don’t have chocolate milk in my house, but I might make myself some hot chocolate this evening. I hope you enjoy all the chocolate milk you want!

I’ll have to check out the link to that article. It sounds like it will be interesting. Thanks for sharing it.

I was in a funk all day yesterday and didn’t do much of anything useful so today I will try to get my Christmas decorations down. My neighbors still have their outside lights on so I won’t worry about taking mine down until the weather improves a little. Of course, with the arctic blast that’s coming, I won’t feel like doing it then. I hope you have a great day.

Chocolate milk is also an excellent antacid! Who needs Tums or Rolaids when we have chocolate milk? I know I didn’t when I was pregnant.

I love chocolate milk, too, Janice. I used to drink it at lunch time when I was in grammar school and high school. Every day!

Maybe I’ll buy some again — just for old times sake.

So why did I enter my name this way? Because Lefty Mars is my alter ego. Turn up your speakers, then click on my name to see what Lefty is up to these days….

An Ice Age huh? Well we will see in 2011 or so when we reach solar max again and see if temps start to spike again. Who knows…just enjoy the ride.

This is a great site for articals about climate change

I thought I had heard about this before where the earth cooled but then I remember certain winters being bone cold and the sunner being really warm to down right hot.

One of the downers of living where I live.

When my wife was pregnant, she would go to United Dairy Farmers in Columbus, OH, and
purchase a half-gallon of vanilla ice cream, a gallon of milk, a bottle of Hershey’s syrup during
lunch, and then because she wouldn’t be home from work in a long time, an extra large
milk-shake chocolate shake with vanilla ice cream. One time they put chocolate ice cream in,
making it too chocolately, and she had a pregnancy flip out against the poor worker. They
re-made it for her and remembered her every time she came in.

Believe me, I understand about milkshakes and pregnancy!
