Happy birthday Sean from up north in Canada, the OV! Enjoy your weekend, no doubt JD & Matthew have something nice planned. :) We are all blessed to share JD’s life together. :)

Today’s weather what can I say, thunder, rain, sun, all before 12! Cooled things off quite a bit, then by late afternoon back to rain, sun, didn’t bike today but walked fast between the falling rain.

JD,

‘Tis a privileged lass you are!! A handsome, healthy son. A strapping and handsome Irishman for a spouse; and most of all, for Sean, you madam, are married to one of God’s very, very special people: an angel who is one’s of New York City’s Bravest.

God Bless to All
Can’t tell you how great it is to have you back.

Morning fellow/ladies of the weather machine blog. :) A nice day (Saturday)in the OV. 80 or so degrees very little humidity. Rain is in the forecast for Sunday (today). 1206am.

I hope the IT folks at Foxnews fixes the time one day. :)

Hey Don,
I heard that about Billy Mays. I think his commercials are pretty obnoxious with all the yelling he does but I certainly didn’t want him to die so young. I hope we find out what happened to him.

Hey Peter,
Can you send your low humidity down to Maryland? I was outside for a little this afternoon and even though I wasn’t over exerting myself, I had sweat running down my face. It wasn’t as hot today but the humidity was high.

Hi to all the other bloggers out there. It’s been pretty quiet on the blog this weekend. I spent about 4-5 hours outside yesterday working on my backyard project. My next door neighbors helped me a little. Poor Sterling learned a valuable lesson. He doesn’t like killing anything so when I tried to swat a bumble bee with a shovel when it landed on the grass, he told me not to hit it. Well, I don’t know what he was thinking when he tried to pick it up but he wound up getting stung 3 times in the leg. What happened is that we stirred up a nest of bees when we tore out the landscape timbers. I was exhausted by the end of the day yesterday but I blame a lot of that on the fact I spent so much time running away from bees! I had to run to the store to get more spray because I didn’t have enough. Between yesterday and today I went through 2 cans of spray and killed close to 2 dozen bees. They were everywhere! I’ve been taking pictures of my project and will share them when it’s finished.

I’m out of space so I’ll say goodbye. Have a great day.

Billy Mays was hit in the head by a suitcase last night when the plane landed hard in Tampa. So hard, the tires blew and doctors checked everyone out. He told his wife he wasn’t feeling good when he went to bed.

Hey Don,

Somehow I missed your comment yesterday. I heard about Billy Mays getting hit in the head. It brings to mind what happened with Natasha Richardson. People really need to go to a hospital for an x-ray when they get hit in the head like that. I’m sorry his wife didn’t pick up on that before he went to bed. I heard that one of his friends talked to him that evening Billy’s speech was slurred. I’m surprised that after what happened with Natasha, people aren’t more aware.

The lesson is that if you get hit in the head with anything–go to the hospital for an x-ray!!! Head injuries are nothing to take lightly.

We definitely took the Natasha Richardson incident to heart. When I was in the ER getting the kidney stone diagnosis, Scooter was babysitting Elizabeth while Jason went to the office for a little bit (and took Kyle with him). Well, they were sitting on the couch reading a book when she squirmed away from him and landed on the tile floor, head first. She joined me in the ER. They were even nice enough to let us share the cubicle.
