Now I'm confused Janice.......

All of the tree hugging environmental wackos, Liberals, Democrats and anyone else with a political agenda to advance have told me that our wild weather is because of Global, oops I mean, Climate Change. Now you're saying El Nino? ;-)

Hey y'all! :)

Loved that Chris Farley. I agree, JB. The skit with Patrick Swayze is one of the best ever...a real classic! He and John Candy were 2 of my all-time favorites.

Hey Deb! When I was 20 I, too, had the world on a string. Oh if I could just go back and know what I know now! Isn't that the way it always goes?

Hmmm....Nancy Pelosi as an appetite suppressant. Works for me!

Later!

Hey Janice,

I remember when the "El Nino" thing was going on before...people blamed everything on that...I think even when their spouse was unfaithful! ha So we'll see what happens this go around.

It's Sunny...cloudy..sunny..cloudy...here today...it's going back and forth..could it be el nino??? temps are creeping back up too. and the nice breeze from yesterday is gone..which makes it feel much hotter.

The Steve McNair situation is so sad...I too feel sorry for his wife and children...I heard on our local news that she (wife) had no idea that he was cheating. What a horrible way to find out. I couldn't imagine being in her position. From reports I have heard of the young woman (Sahel/aka Jenny) she was very unstable, and telling her co-workers she was thinking about ending her life. Very sad too. She was only 20. When I was 20. I had nothing to be sad about. Life was just beginning. (as an adult).

JD..have a great time in the OV. I am sure lil' man will love it.

Take care,
Deb

Hi, Janice,

Thanks for explaining about "El Nino." Yours is the first description of it that makes sense to me.

And thanks for the Chris Farley video. I knew Chris here in Los Angeles in the mid-1990's. We sometimes had lunch together on Sunday afternoons in a restaurant on Robertson not far from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Chris knew I had lived in Chicago's Old Town neighborhood, home to Second City, from 1964 until 1986, when I moved to California. He was very curious about Second City and Old Town "in the old days."

I felt sorry for Chris because he couldn't stay clean and sober. He tried and tried. I was devastated when I learned he had died of an overdose a week before Christmas in 1997 in his condo in the Hancock Building in Chicago.

I miss those Sunday lunches with Chris....

Hey JB,

I agree with you about Nancy Pelosi! There are a lot of politicians that cause me to lose my appetite! I'm glad I didn't see her because I'm getting ready to go down to the cafeteria for my lunch and I'm pretty hungry. I'll bring it back to the library and watch some news while I'm eating. Depending on the news being covered, sometimes I'll switch to the History Channel instead. Like I said before, some politicians make me lose my appetite and I hate watching them while I eat!

Hey Janice,

I hope you got the pictures I sent. I could have sent a lot more but I don't want to bog you down with a lot of pictures. I'm sure I'll have plenty more of my Eastern Shore trip on Sunday and Monday, so I'll have to pick the best ones from that bunch, too. It's hard to choose sometimes!

It will be interesting to see what El Nino brings this year. The weather has been so crazy it's hard to tell what will happen. I can't remember having so many mornings in a row where the temperature has been in the mid 50's in July! I've been wearing a jacket in the mornings. At least I'm saving money at home since I haven't had to run the air conditioner in my living room much. My house stays pretty cool when the temperatures don't get too warm and with all the mornings in the 50's, it's only around 73 or 74 in my living room when I get home. I like that!

Well, I'm running out of space so I'll say goodbye. It's time for lunch! Have a great afternoon everyone.

JD,
I enjoyed the Chris Farley clip. I will always rememeber the Chippendale's sketch he did with Patrick Swayze years ago on SNL. He was an extremely talented performer who sadly passed away much too soon. John Belushi, John Candy, Phil Hartman and Chris Farley were all taken in their comedic primes.
I hope El Nino grings a little rain to the hot dry conditions here in Texas. I hope all have a great weekend.
I am surprised that no diet company has tried showing video clips of Speaker Pelosi talking(she is on FNC now) as an appetite suppressant. After watching her talk, I have lost my appetite and I am sure others do too. JB
