Thanks for posting my pictures! I didn’t think you’d get a chance to post them before your long weekend so I thank you for posting them so fast! Have a great weekend and I’m looking forward to lots of pictures of that burning chicken!
Hey Margie,
These are gorgeous…as usual. I’ve tried to pick a favorite, but they’re all so good that I don’t seem to be able to.
I’ve taken some shots around my house that I’m going through now to choose a few to send. I keep telling y’all that I live in a “rural” area. When I send them…you’ll see just how rural I mean. I really live “in the country”. Hopefully, I can get them to Janice so she can post next week.
Hey it almost looks like it might rain outside right now. That would be so welcome here. The temps have dropped here a little in the last couple of weeks, but it’s still so dry. My poor lawn has been suffering terribly. We have about 3 acres in lawn and it’s just not possible to water all of it. The water association water costs too much, and the water from our deep well has too much iron in it. So it tends to kill the plants when we use it. I’d get out there an do a rain dance if I thought it would help. My luck, it would scare the rain clouds away.
I’m so sorry to hear about your daughter. Do you know if the cancer was caught early? I will definitely keep her in my prayers. What is your daughter’s name? Although God knows her name, I like having a specific name to pray for. I will definitely be praying for her and for you.
Don,
I’m so sorry to hear the news about your daughter. Cancer is unkind and certainly no respecter of persons. My step-daughter, Christy, was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 30. She had a radical double mastectomy and chemo. A year later had to have radiation due to recurrence of cancerous cells. She’s now cancer free for almost 8 years.
Like Margie, I’ll add her to my prayer list. Please keep us updated.
Margie,
Thanks for sharing your great photos. Everything there looks beautiful. It is good the view wasn’t clouded by any smoke from any chicken infernos nearby.
Don, your daughter is in my prayers and I will keep good thoughts, as I am sure all of us are doing. JB
Margie, I don’t know if it was caught early or not. Kathleen went for four tests on Monday and a CT test Tuesday. They told her today “all the markers are positive for bladder cancer” As of now I know nothing else other then she has to see another doctor.
Don, you sounds like a wonderful father. I’m sure your support and love will help your daughter more than you know. Big hugs. jd

Life sucks. My 42 year old daughter just called. She has been diagnosed with bladder cancer.

Hmm……….
I’m thinking crabcakes and soft-shell crab sandwiches.
Thanks for the pictures Margie.
