From the USS New York

Hi guys.  There’s a lot of pictures here, but all worthy of posting!   If you’d like to see the USS New York’s official website, you can go HERE.  There’s lots of  cool info to take a peak at – not to mention a great gift shop to buy some commemorative souvenirs! (Thanks to my hubby for being such a good photographer!)

Hey Janice,

Thank Sean for the great pictures! I will have to look at them more carefully when I get home. Right now I switched into high gear and I’m trying to stay out of a panic mode because they keep changing my move dates on me. Yesterday I found out that my office would be moved on Friday the 13th instead of Tuesday the 17th like I thought. I thought they’d move everything together but the office is moving separately. Well, that schedule lasted all of one day because one of the guys from the company we hired to plan the move came in this morning to ask if they could move me on Thursday the 12th. They’re trying to get as much done early so things aren’t totally crazy the final week. Now I have to get everything done before Thursday–I’m feeling a little stressed right now!

Weather-wise, it’s cloudy and chilly today. It was another chilly morning this morning. I think it’s only supposed to get up to about 50 today.

Well, I better go get my lunch so I can get back to some speed cleaning! I hope they have something good in the cafeteria. I hope everyone has a great afternoon!

Margie

JD,
Thanks to Sean for the photos. They are quite impressive. It is amazing that the ship was planned, built and completed and yet there is still no building done at Ground Zero yet. I guess the wheels of beaurocracy are extremely slow.
Margie, I am sure the move will go well. Since the process is starting a little sooner, on the bright side, it will be completed sooner also!
Cool morning here and a pleasant afternoon coming. I hope the others are getting some nive fall weather.JB

Hey Janice,
These photos are so cool!!! Tell Sean that we appreciate the pictures and his photographic abilities. I was able to watch a little of the F&F coverage this morning. I got to see the interview with Commissioner Ray Kelly, who I think is such a cool guy. Would have liked to have watched more, but I’m keeping 2 of the grandkids this week and had to get them ready for daycare as well as myself ready for work. At any rate, the pictures are great!

Beautiful day in Mississippi today. Hubby and I just got back from Red Lobster. They serve my absolute favorite meal…woodfire grill Atlantic Salmon. I get it every time we go in there. It is so divine, and now I am so full.

Margie, I hope you don’t stress out too badly over the move. Hopefully it’ll all go smoothly with no major glitches.

Hello to everybody else. Hope y’all are having a great day!
Gwen ;)
