Janice Dean the Weather Machine

What are you Thankful For?

Hi everyone!

It’s a busy day in the weather department as it is every day before Thanksgiving as many folks get on the road or in the air for the long holiday weekend.

Two trouble spots that may cause a ripple effect in the air – one is across the Midwest where a system is sweeping across the Great Lakes and into the Ohio Valley, eventually pushing into the Northeast tomorrow and Friday.  The other area is across Florida where a low pressure system pushes in from the Gulf of Mexico and bringing a soaking wet day over much of the “sunshine state”.  We had some ground stops earlier in Miami and Ft Lauderdale, so this could be a tricky day of trying to fly in or out of south central Florida.

Here’s a link to the FAA’s flight delays if you are expected someone, or you are planning to fly this weekend: http://www.fly.faa.gov/flyfaa/usmap.jsp

Tomorrow we’ve got the big Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade here in Manhattan, and the weather should co-operate for all the balloons, but the parade route has changed, which means some shifting winds are possible.  Here’s the story about the new parade route.

Thanks to everyone for posting their yummy Thanksgiving menus!  I want to hear more!  And, I would love to hear what you’re thankful for as well this year.  My list is plentiful…but the obvious blessing this year, is my little 10 month old boy who has brought so much happiness and joy to my life, its hard to put into words.  He is my life and my love.

I am also thankful to all of you, my faithful bloggers who make it a pleasure to log on to my computer every day to see what you’re talking about.  Thanks again for being kind and considerate here.  I feel very fortunate to have a great bunch of friends.

Hey Janice,

I’m thankful for you! Even though you’ve been really busy with things, you still manage to make this blog personal and I love “chatting” with you when you have the time to post. I realize you’re busy so I’m happy when you do find the time to reply to our comments. You are very special.

I’m most thankful to my Lord and Savior for all the blessings He’s given me. I really can’t begin to list all the blessing because there are so many. I’m thankful for my family and friends. I’ve been blessed with some truly special friends, including ones I’ve made on this blog. I’m thankful for my job and the excitement of moving to a new building with wonderful neighbors.

I could go on and on but I think I’ll stop there. I’ve had plenty of challenges, too, but I do know God is in control and He’ll take care of me in all circumstances.

Thank you, Janice, for all you do. May God bless you, Sean and that precious little Matthew!

Happy Thanksgiving to all the wonderful people here, starting off with the first family of the blog, plus the many special people who come here each day to share and give of their time and thoughts of the daily happenings. :) It’s a pleasure to come here also. I haven’t been here as often as before, but just a little busy, but rest assured each of you are in my thoughts. :) Couldn’t let this wonderful reflective holiday go past without coming by and saying HI! :)

Hey Peter!

It’s good to see you checking in today. Thank you for the Thanksgiving Day wishes. I know you’re up there in Canada so you don’t have an official celebration today but I still want to wish you a great day anyway!

Happy Thanksgiving to whoever else may be lurking out there!

Margie

Hi Margie, I always like to find something turkey for US Thanksgiving. :) Got to celebrate the mood. :) It’s a good excuse to eat turkey food. :)

I hope you are enjoying your Thanksgiving day.
